How to connect laptop with LCD flat TV with S Video?
I have an IBM R40 laptop that connects me to a S-Video. I have my television set "PC" (inputs) and I have tried sending pictures by pressing Fn + F7, but fret not. How do I fix? The laptop has no exits component video output.
on your TV, for "PC input", which means usaually "VGA" so that in the back or side should not be a port which is marked blue PC input, it looks exactly like the port on a monitor. Use a replacement VGA cable (male to male) to go from the VGA port on your laptop to the VGA port on your TV. Then, go to the settings in the control panel, the screen and click the 2nd monitor, and extend to this monitor … can not remember the exact configuration but usually only 2 to choose from so not what is on, matches the best possible resolution and freedom from home. On a side note, do not use an s-video cable if possible, is a poor quality cable and bad. Hope this helps
