What Direct TV package gives you 25 channels?
The apartment complex I just moved into has some cable channels from Direct TV, but only 25 channels (a random assortment, I get some local channels, no Fox, MTV, Discovery channel, and others but no ESPN or Fox Sports which are the only ones I really care about).
I looked on Direct TV’s website but the cheapest package they offer has 50 channels. Do I just need a receiver or something? I have an LCD TV with a receiver with a built receiver so I don’t think that’s the problem.
Basically I’m just wondering why I’m getting some cable channels like MTV and TBS, but not others.
Thanks for your answer, TV Tech, and I doubt you’ll read my reply, but while your answer does sound possible, the company that owns our building also owns two other apt. buildings, both have Comcast with complete basic cable (2-99). It doesn’t seem likely for them to limit some channels in one building and not in the others.
I might just end up paying for my own basic cable service =(
Because the apartment complex has made arrangements with Direct TV to ONLY provide those channels….
Now, go to the apartment complex and see what they can do for you to meet your needs.
Upgrade package hopefully….maybe your own satellite or cable feed that you pay extra for.
