dish dvr freezes
I can’t play my DVR Dish Recordings, they freeze up.?
I can’t watch a majority of my Recordings, a few minutes of watching and it freezes up like it does when the sattellite signal is lost during a rain storm, and then the DVR fights it for so long it reboots.
Its happening with almost all of the recordings.
So this is what happens.
-I select and play back a recording.
-its different with every show, but after a while it freezes up.
-No Audio or control with Remote, a Frozen Screen Shot
-It takes a while, and it might go back to Live TV, or it gives up and reboots.
I have a VIP622 DVR for HDTV.
Thats what it says on the front.
on one ‘door’ the one with the smart card slot, its says “VIP 622 DVR” the other door with the manual controls and USB slot says “HDTV”

The hard drive is failing. Call dish network up and request a tech to come out and replace the unit.
