How to program a new dish remote, to an existing receiver.?
I have a dish dvr that works 2 tvs at once. I recently had to call Dish and ask them for a new remote for TV 2, because the old one no longer works. The problem is, I cannot get it to work! I have called Dish, but their instructions are jumbled and not very helpful. Can anyone please give me a specific step-by-step “how to” on how to program the remote to work with the DVR on TV 2? Please.
So in a nutshell, what I need is, details on how to make a brand new Dish remote work for an existing DVR on an existing TV set, for TV 2. Thank you to all who help!
I don’t have any type of booklet or pamphlet, nothing that I can read for instructions, that is what I am looking for on here. 
I already have blue 2 set in place at the bottom of the remote. What I need now is how to make it work with the DVR on TV 2, please.
It is impossible and makes no sense to copy here what the user guide describes in easy step by step instructions and in multiple pages..
To control TV2 you need a remote with a big “2″ in the bottom. This one sends RF signals. You also need to set-it up to the correct address. See the instructions on “Checking the remote control address”.
After it can control the main Dish set-top box, you need to enter the code of your TV2, so it can control the TV (volume and on/off); see the instructions “Setting up using device code tables”
