burn payperview movies from dish network dvr to a dvd burner hooked up to it?
i have dish network and a dvr i have bought some ppv movies and dvr’ed them and i we have a panasonic dvd burner that we bought and i wanna know if i can burn them i figured out how to burn them i got video but no sound is it something wiht a copyright or do i not have it hooked up right..??
Well if you are getting video and not audio then it most likely is your setup. First how are you connecting the DVD burner to the DVR? Are you using S-Video cable and RCA Audio Cables (Red and White)? Are you using RCA Audio (Red and White)and Video Cables (Yellow)? Are you using Component Cables Which are usually Gray cables with Red, Blue, and Green Video Cables connected with Red and White Audio Cables?
The Component Audio and Video Cables are the best quality cables and can work with HD TV, Digital Signals, and Analog Signals. The RCA (Also called COMPOSITE CABLES) is the lowest quality Audio and Video Cables, S-Video has to have Audio Cables for it to work the Audio and Video.
Now once you choose which setup you are using you need to connect them accordingly Input to Outputs matched up. Now I have heard that there can be issues with copy protected movies, I have not heard of your exact case though, but I heard if you use RCA Audio and Video cables this will bypass the protection. RCA Audio and Video cables are only analog so they will not recognize digital protection while you are playing a Copy protected show.
If this does not fix your issue then it may be the DVD Reocrder.
I hope this helps you figure things out, if not and you need more info please feel free to email me with more of a description of your setup..
