dish network DVR?

I read i can use a External Hard Drive with my dish network dvr, I am trying to use a 4GB Flash Drive to load some shows on, Is there some kind of Special software that needs to be on this flash drive before i can load videos on it? Currently its telling me that this feature isnt supported, So Im eitehr thinking that Dish Network hasnt released the newest Software, OR i need some kind of Dish OS on this stick. Thanks.
Was just installed yesterday, So that makes me a new customer.. As for the Flash, i plan to pit a few hours (about 3) on it. But all im trying to transfer right now is a 30 Min Show, The DVR Does Recognise it, It just said its not supported, So ill try to reformat it in FAT32
Tried the FAT32 Format, Still not showing Supported… Guess again? :p at this point, Im concidering just ordering the hard drive,

You may need to call Dish to have them activate that feature on your DVR, which will cost your $39. (new customers’ DVRs come with this already turned on.)

Also, you really won’t get much onto a 4GB flash drive. It may be to small, and therefore not recognized by the DVR. You really need to use an actually external hard drive which has been pre-formatted to, I believe, FAT32 (which your flash drive probably won’t support since it’s so small.)
