dish hd dvr 612
Using an External Hard Drive with a dish network DVR?
I have had the DVR for about 6 month, so I am considered a “newer” customer… I have a single DVR VIP 612… I tried to connect my External Hard drive to it via the USB…. It says its not recognized.
Do I still have to pay the $40 dollar fee? If so, once I do connect it, will I be able to not only transfer from the DVR to the HD, will I also be able to take TV and Movies from the HD and transfer them to the DVR for viewing?
as of now the USB is for jpeg files and nothn else at this time their is talks in the works for it software update via sat for it to be used as a external HDD but as of yet it just talk
