Is their a cheap terabyte external hard drive with multiple usb ports?

Is it possible to connect more than one device to an terabyte external hard drive?

If so I want to connect:
Mac mini
Xbox 360
dish network DVR
HP notebook
Home surveillance system.

You need a NAS box. NAS stands for Network Attached Storage. It’s a hard drive in an enclosure that has a network port so that you connect the drive to your router/switch instead of a computer and all devices connected to your network will be able to access it. You might have trouble with the DVR, but most of your equipment shouldn’t have a problem. NAS boxes can be pretty expensive. You’re better off buying the hard drive and NAS enclosure separately. The new Western Digital My Book World Edition doesn’t have a bad price on newegg. It’s a simplified NAS box that pretty much anybody can use.

Sign up for newegg.com’s newsletter and you will find terabyte hard drives for about 80 bucks. NAS enclosures are expensive, but newegg has all kinds. Check them out here.
