Will my credit score go back up if I dispute and then remove fraudulent information?

I’m a victim of identity theft. Somebody used my name for dish network and Sprint services and racked up about $2000 in charges. After checking my credit report, it looks like those accounts are now closed (after only being open for about a month each).

If I can successfully dispute these reports, will it immediately return my credit score to where it was before these reports? I’ve heard that you have to build it back up manually, but that doesn’t seem fair OR legal! I don’t have time, money, or willpower to bring a frivolous lawsuit to the courts. Help?

IF you dispute the information on the credit report and it is removed the score will go up but not to where it originally was. Simply contact the agency that is reporting the fraudulent information on your credit report and you should see results within 60 days. Make sure that you dispute the information on the reporting agency for example Experian, Equifax or Transunion.
