dish tv family package
DirecTv or dish network? Which do you prefer?
My family currently has DirecTv but we are contemplating on whether we should switch to Dish. Which do you think is better?
Currently, we pay $57.77 for the Total Choice Package. We do not have any HD channels and we only have the satellite service on one Tv. As I was looking at the Dish Packages, I noticed that their DishDVR Advantage package offers 2 DVRS and over 200 channels (compared to the 150 offered in our current package) and is only $57.99. Does anyone recommend switching? Or should we stick with Directv?
I have heard multiple bad stories from Dish but only one bad story about DirecTV.
The stories I have heard about Dish are about their customer service and could be related to billing. I had a friend getting multiple calls every day from this company and if I recall they were no longer a customer even though they were getting calls.
The story I heard about DirecTv is that they took a BULK payment (to pay for a few months) in the amount of $400 or so from a account they were not authorized to withdraw from automatically. I heard prices have gone up as well.
Do your research and ask customers of each side. And like Home, Car, and other insurance (since I used to be an insurance agent) get quotes every 2-3 years and see what’s out there. Don’t be afraid to switch if you need and want to save money. Usually special offers only last a year or two.
I’ve never heard of Total Choice Package so I have nothing to say about them. Good luck and really ask around!!
