How can I stream live TV from the internet to my TV to benefit from a larger picture, sound etc..?

I work in India and watch live college football over the Internet. I would “love” to get this to my home theater system if possible. I’ve provided my existing equipment list if it helps.

Thanks

My equipment
PC: 2.6 ghz HT, 1GB Ram, 120GB HD
Internet Connection: 512 broadband
TV: Philips Plasma 42 inch, Model # 42PF9966
HTIB: Sony SR4W 800W, All-in-one DVD, tuner, amplifier etc..

Does the TV have either a VGA or DVI input on it? If so, then you should be able to simply plug your PC straight into it.

You can then use the TV as the monitor for your computer and stream video in the normal way.

Philips are quite good and usually have drivers available on their website for their plasma screens. We have one in our boardroom and it works wonderfully.

Hope this helps!

Sean
