pc tv converter walmart
video card out for component video or converter cable?
I have just seen how wonderful the streaming video from netflix is(instant play now). I would like to get it to my flatscreen lcd Vizio t.v.
I have a vizio tv that has 2 component inputs and a vga input. I already have 1 older pc hooked up to that vga input(for music, home videos, etc.) but both component inputs are free.
what would be the best way to do this–, Will a converter cable vga to component video work well, or can I purchase a video card with component video out that will work the tv right. I tried using an older cheap dvd player from walmart with the component out into the tv component in — the color match was bad, so I do not know if it was a mismatch or just poor equipment, but I don’t want that to happen with netflix.
Can someone recommend names of hardware that would work well? Maybe with a video card I could select outputs by the control panel and use it like a switch as well , leaving the original monitor hooked up?
get a VGA switch (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10104&cs_id=1010405&p_id=4083&seq=1&format=2)
VGA will give you better picture than component, and it’s a lot easier than using VGA to component adapters (which need to be compatible with your video card).
