Does a cord exist to hook up a TV with a “S port” to my laptop (no S-port)?

I want to connect my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop (new in January) to my old TV so that I can watch movies playing on my computer on my TV (NOT a HD set).

TV has only 2 possible ways to connect:
1. S-port
2. RCA (Red, Yellow, White) port
(note: TV is not high definition)

Laptop has ONLY 2 possible connectors:
1. 15 pin D-sub
2. USB port

Therefore, do any of these possible cord combinations exist:

1. S-port to 15 pin D-sub
2. S-port to USB port
3. RCA to 15 pin D-sub
4. RCA to USB port

Geek Squad was useless on this, as were my internet searches. Radio Shack said it was possible to that it would cost about $125.
I have seen these adapters which John speaks of but they are not LONG ENOUGH to connect my laptop to my TV. Need about a foot.

Since laptop only has VGA, you need a VGA to composite video (RCA yellow) CONVERTER.

A simple cable adapter won’t work because VGA signal from laptop is different from composite video signal of analog TV. Radio Shack was right but their converter is more expensive. Probably it comes with a bundle of cables.
