How to build a custom PC DVR?

Ok I want to build a PC for my living room from the beginning. I have seem many tutorials online, but really do not go the way I like to have a Media Center PC. I'd like to have the following features: – Record analogue, digital signals and HD cable, satellite or other TV input source. – Check both analog and HDTV. A record two programs at once. – Being able to play DVD and burn DVD (BluRay is not interested in, however, too expensive, but maybe in the next two years, yes). – 5.1 surround sound playback or higher (and has a set of Creative speakers, but they connect directly to a PC). You also have the option of sound input from a game console to the PC may leave the speakers (this seems to be the most difficult). – Be able to use the Internet, view photos, listen to music on your network from another PC, connect my iPod, etc. – play games emulator. Please guide me to the right area, even if you're buying.

You can use the best software I've seen AVS Video Tools. You can convert to / from all key format, upload video or DVD directly to key portable as iPod, Sony PSP, Archos, Creative Zen, and mobile. It can capture video from DV or webcams, TV tuners, DVB-T, DVB-S, transfer VHS tapes to DVD, copy, remove commercials, video editing and DVD burning and file Video: AVI (DivX, XviD, etc.), MP4, WMV, 3GP, 3G2, QuickTime (MOV, QT), SWF, DVD, VOB, VRO, MPEG 1,2,4, MPG, DAT, VCD, SVCD, ASF, H.263, H.264, RM, DVR-MS.
